Suspect arrested after driving law enforcement on Chase

New Madrid County, Mo. (KFVS) – A suspect is under arrest after leaving law enforcement on a chase through Heartland.

According to the new sheriff’s office in Madrid county, the deputies intercepted the chase on the county line of 57 Tuesday after -mies.

The patrol troops of the Missouri state highway that followed the vehicle reported that the suspect had hit at least one car and continued south on I-57.

After the vehicle came out of the road, the new Madrid deputies and fired the weapons to disable him.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was not hit by firearms, and the deputies were unharmed.

The suspect was arrested without any other incidents.

Sheriff Joey Higgerson said he asked for the drug division and crime at Missouri State Highway Patrol, to investigate the use of officers during the incident.
