Amethi (UP), April 2 (PTI) a 27 -year -old man was critically injured after being shot after a small car parking dispute became violent in the Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Wednesday.

The incident took place in the village of Itroor, below the limits of the Jagdishpur police station on Tuesday night, they said.

According to police, Irfan (27 years old) was standing next to a store when a speed car stopped, giving it up the dust before parking. Irfan opposed this, leading to an altercation with the occupants of the car.

In the heat of the moment, the accused fired at Irfan, hitting the jaw, the police said.

Irfan was in a hurry at the Community Health Center in Jagdishpur, where the doctors sent him to the Trauma Center in Lucknow, given his critical state.

The police scan the CCTV images from the area to identify and arrest the attackers, said the additional Police (ASP) Harendra Kumar.
