Legacy Motor Club is taking legal measures against Rick Ware Racing to sell charter

Legacy Motor Club has filed a trial against Rick Ware Racing for selling a status and has requested a temporary restriction order.

The trial was submitted on Tuesday, and a large part of his 46 pages are strongly written.

Legacy Motor Club, which is held seven times the champion in the Nascar Cup series, Jimmie Johnson, claims that Ware has supported a signed agreement. The organization began to look for a third status in October 2024 and learned that one from Ware was on the market.

“It was related to cash and could not compete at the level of Cup Series by its own admission, RWR needed to sell one of the two maps,” says the process. “So, on the morning of January 6, 2025, CEO Legacy, Calvin ‘Cal’ Wells III, met with RWR -Rick Ware representatives and his TJ Puchyr Broker -to conclude an agreement.

The details around the purchase are among the newsrooms. However, the costume continues to say that, despite having a “mandatory agreement” between the two parties, Ware wants to return from sale. A section of the process is labeled, “the inheritance discovers the truth.” The next section is labeled, “RWR receives cold legs”.

athletic Reports that the dispute comes from Ware’s understanding that the sale of the Charter would be for season 2027, but Legacy changed the contract after signed to do it for season 2026. When finding out, Ware gave up the agreement.

The request for a temporary restriction order is to apply the “status quo” until the dispute decision.

Legacy Motor Club Fields Two full -time records in the John Nemechek’s John Hunter Series, number 42 Toyota and Erik Jones, number 43 Toyota. Johnson competes on a limited basis in number 84 Toyota, an open team.

Ware wins a full -time team this season for his son, Cody. The organization rented the second status at RFK Racing for season 2025, which is used for Ryan Preluce.
