The special education teacher accused of sexually assaulted the 15 -year -old boy during the guidance session

Downers Grove, ill. (Gray News)-a teacher of special education is accused of sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy at school during a guidance session.

According to the Downers Grove Police Department, Christina Fodella, 30 years old, sexually assaulted the boy in a classroom at Downers Grove South during a guidance session in December 2023. Fodella worked there as a special education teacher and football coach.

The boy’s mother discovered the alleged sexual assault when she looked through a text message on her son’s phone and reported to the police on March 15th.

Fodella was taken under arrest after a traffic stop on March 16th. Her husband was with her when she was arrested.

“The statements against the lady from Fodella are extremely disturbing,” Robert Berlin, Dupge County Lawyer, Robert Berlin said. “It is assumed that he used his position of confidence and authority as a tutor and a coach to sexually assault a minor student. The type of abuse and behavior in this case will not be tolerated.

Conformable PeopleThe judicial documents show several explicit text messages between Fodella and a student who discuss the details of sexual abuse. She also wrote about the boy in her phone’s note application.

Fodella, who is on paid leave from school, is accused of two accusations of aggravated sexual abuse and criminal sex. She was released after her first appearance in court, provided she has no contact with anyone under 18.
