PCB Mayor discuss new safety procedures for spring break

Panama City Beach, FLA. (WJHG/WECP) – Mayor Tettermer joined Studio LIVE to discuss new Panama City Beach safety procedures implements this weekend.

The procedures come after a shot in Pier Park.

Mayor Tettemer presented four new protocols:

  • In the designated areas, there will be control points around Pier Park, with law enforcement forces, illegal weapons and alcohol. The legal constitutional report will be respected.
  • Big bags are forbidden; Only small purses will be allowed which are 6 in. x 8 in.
  • A curfew from 8:00 to 5:00 AM will be implemented for any person under the age of 18.
  • Face coverings will also be forbidden, which means that without hoods or masks – with exceptions such as health problems.

Mayor Tettemer promised to protect Residents and Guests in Panama City Beach and intend to increase security for spring break.
