Furglar took place, booty worth Rs 10.7l recovered

Kadiri (Sri Sathya Sai District): A man involved in a theft in the city of Kadiri were arrested, and the stolen property of 10.7 Lakh RS, including Rs 9.7 Lakh in cash and two gold jewelry tolers, was recovered.

The accused, identified as Patan Sabir @ Sabir (24 years old), a resident of Alam Khan Masjid Street, Kadiri, was withdrawn after being arrested near Sunnapugutta Thanda Bypass Road on Wednesday morning.

The incident took place on March 17, 2025, between 10:00 pm and 23:00, when Tiikala Baba Fakruddin, a businessman who runs clothes prepared Baba, near Rayalaseema Circle, went shopping with his family for Ramzan. Taking advantage of the empty house, the thieves obtained the entrance to the house from the back door and stole money and gold from the closet.

Fakruddin filed a complaint to Kadiri Town CI Narayana Reddy, who registered a case and launched an investigation. During the probe, the police received information from the locals who saw a suspect jumping from the roof of the house on the night of the incident.

Based on this, they suspected that Shaikh Sabir, a resident of Alam Khan Masjid street, who hid after the crime. To browse the accused, Kadiri DSP Sivanarayana Swamy formed two special teams. On Wednesday, around 11 o’clock, the police located Sabir near Sunnapugutta Thanda Bypass Road, arrested and recovered Rs 9.7 Lakh in cash and two gold jewelry tools.

Following the successful recovery of the stolen property, the SRI Stehya Sai Sai and Kadiri DSP district congratulated the efforts of Kadiri CI Narayana Reddy, and Babjan, the chief of the crime, Jakir Hussain and the Constanta Shiva Shankar Reddy. The staff has been rewarded for their dedication in the effective resolution of the case.
