The Lyell highway has closed after a serious two -vehicle accident west of Guraton

Emergency services rushed to the place of a serious two vehicles on the Lyell highway between Grandton and New Norfolk.

The accident at Sorell Creek led to serious injury, according to the police.

The authorities have closed the Lyell Highway in Grandton, while the emergency crews work to delete the scene, and the investigators examine the accident site.

“The Lyell highway will be closed in Grandon, while the scene is cleaned and the accident scene has been investigated,” the police said.

The extent of the wounds and the number of people involved have not yet been confirmed.

Authorists traveling to New Norfolk are deviated by Boyer Road until subsequent notification.
