CCTV appeared from the last moments of a transaction in life, before being shot dead by his fiancé’s father for a bitter property dispute.

The veteran of the Army Luke Samouel Simon, 60, was sentenced Thursday to 31 years behind the graces of the Supreme Court of the NSW, after previously said guilty of killing Damien Conlon, 38, in 2023.

The court has heard that Simon had lured Irish trade at his house in Oberon, in Central-West NSW on February 9, 2023.

Simon inherited a property following his father’s death in October 2021.

He agreed to leave his future son-in-law, Mr. Conlon, his daughter, Linda Simon, their two children and Mrs. Simon’s two children from a previous relationship that moves to the main house of the property.

Simon had planned to move to a grandmother’s apartment on the Oberon block, which was still to be built, when he was served with a document by the couple who asked to leave the main house, so that he could suffer renovations.

The judicial documents seen by News.com.au To detail Simon’s initial refusal that he had intended to kill Mr. Conlon.

Instead, the homeowner claimed that he shot the Irish after Mr. Conlon “smiled” during an argument about property.

“When I was this morning and I told him, look at you. I know you try to do me. I said I know a cone when I see one, I’m not a bad king. And he smiled,” he told the police shortly after the crime.

After killing his son-in-law, Simon sat on a trailer outside Oberon and called the police.

He confessed to a neighbor who passed that he had only killed Damien while waiting to arrive.

– I put two in his body and one in his head. I called the cops and told them I was unarmed. Don’t worry, you’re not in danger. I have no intention to do harm to anyone, ”Simon told the neighbor.

In the disturbing video captured two days earlier on February 7, Simon is seen with retreating a firearm housing from a safe to the house.

“This is the one who will put him to sleep. F ** King Damien, you are the king left,” he said.

In an attempt to claim that CCTV did not indicate premeditation, Simon’s lawyer claimed that the dissatisfied grandfather took an empty case from the safe.

However, Judge McNaughton concluded that Simon would not have managed the case with such care if they were empty.

The judicial documents also detailed a conversation that Simon had with an Iga worker the day before the shooting in which he claimed that he learned that “someone snatches”.

– I will receive it, Simon told the worker.

CCTV also captured when Mr. Conlon arrived at the house played on February 9, after Simon told him something was stolen.

“At 7.56 in the morning, the deceased was registered on the ground at the front steps of the property,” the court documents say.

Simon pleaded guilty of the crime and was sentenced to 31 years in prison, with a non-Libertate period of 22 years.

The pair had planned to marry at the end of 2023.

“We had deposits paid on the place, at the church and all, but unfortunately it will never be,” said Mrs. Simon for The Irish Mirror.

“This is the hardest part, all the plans I had for the future and following our children to grow without it. We only take it every day, this is all we can do.

The mother said that one of her sons “still walks around the house in search.”

“There are memories of happiness and joy when we remember the good times, but then it only hits you now,” she said.
