A woman for sale was arrested after she was supposed to try to steal objects from a colon store, Cebu City.

On the evening of April 2, 2025 (Wednesday), a 21-year-old woman was caught shopping several articles from a Cebu City store. The incident has caused various reactions from the online community.

According to police reports at the Waterfront Police Section (Cebu City Police Station 3), the woman, identified as Maria Sophia Ora Rabaya, was caught trying to take lipsticks worth about P1.300 without paying.

The incident happened around 7 pm, when the store’s security observed its suspicious behavior. A security guard noticed Rabaya leaving the store with unpaid objects. When it was confronted, it was found wearing a pair of shorts together with stolen cosmetics.

The management of the store immediately took measures, retaining it before teaching the police for further investigations.

Authorities have confirmed that Rabaya is now under arrest and could face legal consequences for theft. Also, investigators analyze whether it has been involved in similar incidents in the past.

Meanwhile, the police remind the public to remain on alert while buying and reporting any suspicious behavior in commercial units. They continue to work closely with businesses to prevent shopping and to ensure the safety of both customers and shop owners.
