The new Democrat MP Charlie Angus, a critic of Musk, sponsored the petition, which had over 34,000 signatures from all over Canada on Saturday night.

This figure almost tripled until Sunday morning, overshadowing 90,000 signatories.

Musk is originally from South Africa, but has Canadian citizenship through his mother born of the Queen.

The petition says that Musk, a businessman billionaire and adviser to US President Donald Trump, has engaged in activities against Canada’s national interest.

Trump has threatened to impose large -scale tariffs on Canadian products and thought that Canada became the 51st state, attracting millions of Canadians.

The petition asks Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to revoke Musk’s citizenship and Canadian passport.

An electronic petition must have 500 or more signatures to receive certification to present the Commune Chamber, opening the door of a formal Government response.

The Chamber of Commons is provided to resume on March 24, but many expect a general choice to be called before the parliamentarians return.
