2 Hospitalized after the fire of the apartment on the northern side, says SAFD

San Antonio – Two people were hospitalized following an apartment fire on the north, according to the San Antonio fire department.

A SAFD spokesman said the department responded to the fire around 10:55 pm on Saturday at Tanglewood Apartments, located at 67 Brees.

The firefighters found smoke coming from an apartment on the first floor and located the fire in a back bedroom of the unit, said the spokesman.

A man and a woman were saved from the apartment and taken to a critical hospital, the spokesman said. No other wounds have been reported.

Firefighters were able to contain fire in the bedroom. The spokesman said that no other unit was affected by the fire.

The cause of the fire is investigated.
