Ridgefield Little Treasurer arrested for alleged funds abuse

43 -year -old Eric William Hebner was arrested on charges, after he had misused funds in Ridgefield Little League for personal expenses.

The arrest follows an initial investigation that led to the immediate suspension of Hebner from his role as a treasurer.

The Board of Directors of the Ridgefield Little League expressed its shock and frustration to the situation. “Like many in our community, we were shocked and deeply frustrated by recent events,” said the Board of Directors. “We recognize the impact that this has had on our families and we do deliberate and significant measures to rebuild confidence and to ensure the highest standards of financial responsibility.”

In order to maintain the integrity of the league, the Council has implemented several measures to strengthen the financial supervision. These include distributed financial control, real -time financial transparency, periodic audits and fraud prevention protocols.

“Our goal remains on going further, strengthening the operations of the league and ensuring a positive experience for families and athletes who do from Ridgefield Little League,” the Board of Directors said. “We profoundly appreciate the support of the community and we hired ourselves to rebuild confidence through action.”

The League became aware of a discrepancy in the use of funds and notified the Ridgefield Police Department. In collaboration with the National League of National, the Council decided to suspend Hebner during the investigation.

Despite the incident, Ridgefield Little League has assured the community that necessary measures have been taken to ensure a successful spring season. The league has updated its policies to prevent future occurrences.

Ridgefield Little League said they will not comment on this.
