The victim gets rid of the armed robbery attempted at the Vaughan jewelry store

On Monday, a man escaped a man outside of a jewelry store in Vaughan.

Around 9:15 pm, the police responded to a report of a robbery attempt at a store in Zenway Boulevard and 427 highway. The victim left the store after closing when he saw four people running towards him. Managed to enter his vehicle and block the doors.

The suspects tried to break a window of his vehicle with a hammer. At least one of the suspects marked a firearm, the York Regional Police said in a press release. The victim was able to run away and contact the police.

No one was hurt.

The suspects are described as men, between 15 and 20 years old, wearing dark clothes, with covered faces.
