The man Williamson Co. arrested under multiple charges after led Chase deputies

Williamson County, ill. (KFVS) – a man was arrested for multiple charges after leaving deputies for a high -speed chase.

Rex M. Summers was arrested on charges of aggravated escape and circumvention, while the permit was revoked, drove recklessly, obstructing justice, reckless conduct, driving on the right side of the road, two accusations of stopping and the failure to use the signal.

According to the Sheriff’s office in Williamson County, Summers is known by the law from numerous previous contacts and has been confirmed by the deputies to have a revoked driver’s license.

Around 2:14 pm on Thursday, February 27, the deputies saw the summer driving a vehicle, going to the east on Corinth Road on 12 street in Johnston City.

When he saw the law enforcement, the deputies say that Summers accelerated and committed multiple traffic offenses.

They tried to pull it, but they said the vehicle ran, reaching speeds of 115 miles per hour.

The deputies concluded the pursuit and numerous patrol units arrived in the area to create a perimeter around the North -East Williamson County.

The suspect vehicle was found in that perimeter at a house in block 13000 in Sommers Church Road.

Summers was arrested at home.

According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle was towed from the scene and an investigation restraint was placed on it waiting for a search warrant.

Summers was taken to prison in Williamson County.
