Sarpanch Murder: Anacks recorded 15 videos, took 8 brutality photos

While Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh in the village of Maharashtra was tortured and killed in December, the attackers recorded 15 videos, clicked eight photos and even made two video calls, police officials said in a sheet of action, documenting the bakery endured by the victim.

Videos and photos are part of the action sheet presented by the crime investigation department before a court in the Beed district last week.

Deshmukh, Sarpanch from Massajog Village in Beed District, was kidnapped and killed in December because he tried to make an extortion offer for an energy company. His body full of wounds and bearing signs of extreme brutality was found thrown on the side of the road.

Seven men, including Walmiik Karad, a tight assistant by Dhananjay Munde Minister, have been arrested so far, while a person has been declared accused.

The videos were filmed on a smartphone of one of the accused, Mahesh Kedar, and their duration varies between 2 seconds and 2.04 minutes, an official said, citing the charging sheet.

The head of the village of Massajog was abducted by six men on December 9 at Dongaon Toll Plaza and taken in a SUV to Kej Taluka, with a Rapid Silver car, which followed, he said.

Deshmukh was found unconsciously at Daithna Shivar to Nandur Ghat Road the same evening. He was in a hurry at a hospital by the Beed police search team, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

According to the official, Deshmukh was beaten by 15.30 to 18:00, using a 41 -inch gas pipe with a black string handle, a white pipe, an iron rod with five clutch, wooden sticks, a “fighter and Dharkatti” (both sharp weapons).

In one of the videos, five accused people, including Sudarshan Ghule, are seen catching Deshmukh with a white pipe and a wooden stick, besides hitting him and hitting him. The video shows Deshmukh in a half -empty state and forced to sit on the ground.

In another video, the accused Sudarshan Ghule is seen forcing Deshmukh to sing that “Sudarshan Ghule is the father of everyone.” Another accused urinates on the Sarpanch, which is seen deep bleeding, according to the action sheet.

As Deshmukh is tortured, the accused sought Krishna Andhale makes two WhatsApp video calls on his mobile phone, first at 17.14 PM and the second at 17.26 PM, said the action sheet without identifying the person to whom they made calls.

The police recovered 15 broken pieces from a white pipe from the scene, which was hard and blunt, the official said.

During the investigation, CID found that the accused Sudarshan Ghule is leading a crime union in the Beed district of the Maharashtra center. Gang is facing 11 serious cases and is active in Kej, Ambajogai, Dhaler in Beed and Kalambly in the Dharashiv district, he said.

He said that Ghule, Karad and Vishnu Chate were in contact with each other before and after the killing of Deshmukh.

On May 28, 2024, Ghule kidnapped Sunil Shinde, a project officer with an energy company, for extortion. Subsequently, the victim filed a complaint against Ghule at the Kej Police Section, according to the official.
