In a tragic incident in the village of Lodni in the Alirapur district of Madhya Pradesh, eight people, including a child, suffered serious injuries when a bullet from a 12 hole authorized gun was evacuated.

The incident was produced under the Sondwa police area, at about 14:00, on Friday, during a funeral procession.

According to a main police officer in Alijur, the incident took place during the last rites of Nahar Singh, a resident of the village that died earlier on Friday.

According to tribal traditions, it is accustomed to burning firecrackers and pulling in the air as a trademark during funeral ceremonies, the officer said.

“It cannot be said whether the accused Sarpanch pulled the trigger in time or the shooting was accidentally drawn or intentionally, only after investigation, the cause of the incident will be ascertained,” he said.

Initially, the wounded were in a hurry at the Humral Health Center for immediate medical care. From there, they were transported to the district hospital using various means of transport, including motorcycles and other available vehicles.

After receiving first aid at District Hospital Alirajur, seven of the wounded were referred to my hospital in Indore for advanced treatment. Among them, four people are reported as in critical condition.

One of the wounded, a nine -year -old, called Prem Prakash, suffered a wound of pellet in the foot.

As his wounds did not endanger his life, his family took home after treatment at the district hospital, said the police officer.

The police have taken quick measures by registering a case in accordance with section 100 (guilty homicide) in Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita, along with other relevant provisions, against Sarpanch Nan Singh.

However, others police Sources said that his nephew, Gamla Singh Dabar is also under the scanner, because the firearm involved in the incident was registered under his name, and the case refers to the surrender of a weapon authorized to another person who has “used it”.

The senior officer refused to comment on this by saying that “only after the investigation will be possible any comment on the incident. From now on, the Sarpanch is accused. “

Those Injured in the Incident includes Prem Prakash (9) from Lodni, Ranchhod Richadia (65) from Mundla, Jhungla Kamaliya (45) from Lomni, Sunil Hardas (17) from Lodni, Rohit Ristram (22) from Lodni, Rakesh Madhu Singh (35) From Bejda, Ompra Bhushla (23) from Bejda, and Bhangdia Ichchha (26 years old) in Lodni.
