SpringBok Stars are coming back for Starmers for climb Tour matches in Wales, Northern Ireland

Johannesburg-the Stormers have appointed a team of 30 people for their two-match tour in Wales and Northern Ireland, where they will play matches for the United Rugby (ENC) championship against Scarlets and Ulster respectively.

The Cape franchise was stimulated by the return of the Springboks stars, Damian Willemse and Sacha Feinberg-Gomrmezulu, from long-term dismissals, while Lock Connor Evans and the wing Suleiman Hartzenberg have also recovered from their wounds and were included in teams.

There are six rounds of accessories this season, and Starmers are currently 12th on the table, but at a distance of reaching the playoff positions. The champions of 2022 have never been able to reach the elimination phase, and the return of their key players will be vital, because they will make a place in the first eight.

Assistant coach Dawie Snyman emphasized the importance of their team Willemse and Fainberg-Gyngomezulu.

“Obviously, they are classic rugby players and every time they are on the field, you can only see it. I bring a presence, they bring a big difference and it is not only on the ground, but also outside the field. So we are very pleased to have them in the team,” said Snyman.

The presence of the SpringBok Ben-Jason Dixon flank will be missed for future games, because it will undergo surgery on the wrist, while Slaffhalf Stefan Uns is breastfeeding. Tigetaad, Neethling Fouche, has received free time, because they are expecting the birth of the second child this week.

The Stormers did not have the best periods in their travels, winning only four of their overseas games until this season, and these two next matches could prove to be make-or break meetings. Rugby director John Dobson understands that he is vital for his team to gather as many points on the way before coming home to finish the league phase of the season with four consecutive home games.

“This tour is crucial in the context of our campaign; we want to take a good impulse in home running, which starts in April. It is fantastic to receive a few key players back and are eager to make a big impression,” Dobson said.
