Dublin – a former Bay Arrea fireman narrowed his child’s process of mourning, pleading at four charges that involve sexual crimes against minors, or by improper touching, or by filming them, shows the records.

Simon Meyer, 55 years old, from Redding, did not plead any competition for two charges of criminal child and a third charges of crime, related to four victims between the ages of 10-15 years. The first two accounts say that Meyer has improperly reached two different girls in different incidents, while sleeping, and the third says he filmed two teenage girls while changing his clothes together in his bath.

Meyer’s final fate is in the air. He faces up to eight years in prison through a negotiated agreement with prosecutors in Alameda county, but will be Judge Paul Delucchi to make the final appeal. The conviction hearing has been established for April 25, and Me years Meyer will remain in custody.

Meyer entered the goals without competition on February 4, a few days before a jury was about to hear evidence against him. Prosecutors planned to testify from four other women who claimed that Meyer had reached them inappropriately, but whose accusations did not lead to criminal charges. Two of them had girls aged 11 and 13 when the alleged incidents took place, and another two were 18 years old, the judicial documents show.

Meyer used to live in Livermore. All four victims accused and they met the family and were either at home for parties to the pool or for sleep, according to prosecutors. The case started when the two 15-year-olds discovered Meyer’s mobile phone by changing them in his bath, copied the video, told their parents and finally called the police. They claimed that Meyer insisted on using that specific bathroom and that the video showed the establishment of the camera, according to the court documents.

Meyer was a fireman in San Mateo County until 2021, in the same year, the accusations were filed. It is unclear whether he resigned or dismissed. In 2022, the police in Redding briefly listed as a missing person, but was found shortly afterwards and was left without custody, the recordings show.
