“These dogs are like weapons; Their physical attributes can do to hold a firearm loaded with a questionable safety capture.

“The pure size and ferocity of these animals mean that our firearms were forced to download 19 fires – all of them touching their targets – to bring the incident to a conclusion and to ensure public safety.

“While the victim now receives the treatment he demands, there is no doubt that this incident will affect him for the rest of his life.

“The danger to the public presents these dogs is well known, which is why Cheshire Constabulary was extremely proactive in applying new regulations.

“So far we have already eliminated more than 100 XL beats from the streets of Cheshire and we hired ourselves to do everything we can to ensure that those who do not comply with the new regulations are held accountable.”
