Pottawatomie County – ALAW’s exception is investigating a suspect about multiple charges after an arrest.

Just before 5:30 pm. February 7, the office of the Sheriff of Pottawatoma received a report of a busy burglar at Brooks Yamaha, in block 8000 in East Highway 24, Manhattan, Pottawatomie, Kansas, according to a press release.

The deputies arrived at the scene and managed to determine that several subjects from a U-Haul truck obtained the entrance to the building and stole several motorcycles before running out of the area a few minutes later.

The U-Haul truck was located in Wabaunsee County later that morning and following a pursuit by the Sheriff’s office in Wabaunsee County, the U-Haul was abandoned and the driver ran on the floor.

The detective of the sheriff in Pottawatomy county responded on the spot and was established that the U-Ha was stolen from Kansas City.

The U-Haul and stolen motorcycles were recovered and subsequently returned to the respective owners. A few hours later, the driver was caught at a private residence in Shawnee County.

The driver was arrested by the Kansas highway and transported to the Wabaunsee county, under local accusations. The detectives of the Sheriff’s office in Pottawatomy county responded to the prison in Wabaunsee county and interviewed the driver, identified as Omar Ocampo Jr., 23, from Kansas City, Missouri, and could determine the probable cause for arrest.

On February 14, the detective of the Sheriff of Pottawatomy county lifted Ocpo Ocpo from the prison in Wabaunsee county and transported it to the prison in Pottawatomie for the charges of burglary, theft and criminal damages of the property.

OCAMPO is owned on an obligation of $ 100,000.
