Ministry of Culture to suspend issuing permit for journalists, artists to travel abroad

The Ministry of Culture will temporarily stop the issuance of permits for male journalists and age culture professionals to travel abroad while waiting for a legislative review, the ministry said on February 26.

The measure, which will enter into force on March 3, comes in response to the cases in which men used their permits to stay abroad more than it was allowed.

Men between the ages of 18 and 60 are not allowed to travel abroad below martial lawestablished at the outbreak of war on a large scale in 2022, without special permission.

The journalists and cultural workers were allowed to travel abroad temporarily for professional purposes, provided they have the necessary documentation and permits.
