Trio accused of stealing $ 143 in cosmetics in King County

The Renton Police Department arrested a trio for a sales ray, which is suspected of being part of a retail theft operation organized throughout King county, resulting in over $ 143,000 in lost cosmetics.

On February 4, the RPD reported the arrest of three suspects who were supposed to leave in a range at several ulta beauty stores, between the end of October 2024 and the beginning of January. The suspects are 26 -year -old Imiko Stark, who face four organized retail theft charges; Vershawn Hairston, 25 years old, facing 10 charged theft charges; and R’Mani Sweet, who are experiencing six accusations of theft for sale organized.

The trio is suspected of stealing high quality perfumes and cosmetics from Renton, Federal Way, Auburn, Tukwila, Seattle, Issaquah, Redmond and Lakewood stores.

According to the accusation documents submitted by the prosecutor’s office in King County on January 8, 2025, the trio, either together or independent in several cases, were involved in 23 incidents of alleged retailers organized. According to documents, Hairston stole products worth $ 69,080, Sweet stole products worth $ 59,152 and Stark stole products worth $ 15,609.

According to documents, in different cases, the suspects would enter the ulta beauty shops, either with shopping bags already in their hands, or take shopping bags from transverse bags and then place products inside before leaving without offering payment. The documents say that the suspects would steal various products, creams and makeup perfumes. The detectives were then able to identify the suspects who were known for theft and by identifying the tattoos.

“The video surveillance shows the casual nature of the suspects while they draw objects from the shelves, throw them in bags and leave the store without paying,” RPD reported.

According to the RPD, Hairston had 22 previous convictions, and the judicial documents show that they include accusations of false insurance applications, robbery, two organized retailingfts, three thefts, two attacks and accusations of domestic violence. Stark had three mandates in the Lynnwood Municipal Court for blows and running, attack and theft and Sweet had no previous charges.

Hairston was also accused on January 6 for three other accusations of alleged retail thefts organized for specific incidents at Auburn Ulta Beauty, from which he stole on November 13, November 14 and November 15, 2024. According to documents, Hairston stole 85 cosmetics worth $ 6,788 in the three days.

Sweet and Hairston were also charged in another case on January 15, when, in two weeks, it is assumed to stole Sweet from the Ulta Beauty in Tukwila on four different occasions and hairstyle once, taking over $ 35,000.
