It comes under the conditions in which top Mexican officials are in Washington before Tuesday.

Thursday to the US on Thursday were rounded from Mexico prisons and were flew to eight American cities, according to the Mexican government.

Prosecutors in both countries said that prisoners sent to the US have faced accusations, including drug trafficking and homicide.

“We will judge these offenders to the greatest extent of the law in honor of the law enforcement agents who have dedicated their careers – and, in some cases, given their lives – to protect the people innocent from the railings of violent cartels,” said the US General Prosecutor, Pamela Bondi, in a statement.

“Cartel Kingpin”

Quintero was convicted of torture and killing the US Drug Agency (DEA), Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, in 1985.

The crime marked a low point in US-Mexico relationships.

Quintero was described by the US General Prosecutor as “a cartel director who has unleashed violence, destruction and death in the United States and Mexico.”

After decades, and above the most sought after List of the FBI, it went free in 2013, when a court overturned the 40 -year sentence for the killing of Mr. Camarena.

Quintero, the former leader of the Cartel in Guadalajara, returned to drug trafficking and triggered bloody lawn battles in the northern state of Mexico, until he was arrested the second time in 2022.

The US sought extradition shortly, but the demand remained stuck at the Foreign Ministry of Mexico for unknown reasons.

The predecessor and political mentor of President Claudia Sheinbaum, Andres, Manuel Lopez Obrador, severely reduced Mexican cooperation to protest against undercover American operations, which target high political and military officials.

“The Lord of Heaven”

Also, the leaders of the Cartel, the security leaders from both factions of the Sinaloa Cartel, cartel finance operators and a desired man in the killing of a deputy sheriff from North Carolina in 2022 were sent to the US.

Vicente Carrillo Fuentes, a leader in the Drug Cartel Juarez, based in the border town of Ciudad Juarez, opposite El Paso, Texas, and the brother of the Drog Lord Amado Carrillo Fuentes, known as “Mr. Skies”, who died in a plastic surgery in 1997, was among the US.

Mr. Trump explained the desire to collapse on the drug cards and pressed Mexico to work with him.

The interim chief of DEA, Derek Maltz, was said to have provided a list of almost 30 targets in Mexico, sought in the US, under criminal charges, and Quintero was at the top of the list.

It was also said that Mrs. Sheinbaum’s government, in a hurry to request the favor of the Trump administration, bypassed the ordinary formalities of the common extradition treaty in this incident.

This means that it could allow American prosecutors to try Quintero for the killing of Mr. Camarena – something that did not take into account the existing extradition request to cope with separate drug trafficking in a federal court.
