Costa Rica couple who would have driven a arrested trafficking ring arrested

Costa Rica migration police attacked a house and arrested a couple, assumed from the United States, charged with traffic Sexual exploitation. According to the migration police, in May last year, the Security Department of the US Embassy provided information, and on Thursday, they proceeded to arrest the suspects.

“Due to the information provided by the US State Department, we were able to arrest two persons employed in this illicit activity. Three potential victims were located on the site, “said Omer Badilla, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and general director of immigration. Badilla explained that the victims were addressed by the prisoners and offered opportunities to get involved in natural and religious experiences in Costa Rica. Apparently, victims suffered from depression.

The American authorities were warned by a woman, who seems to be another victim and who claims that she was sexually exploited and held in a farm located in Barú by Pérez Zeledón, in what seemed to be a “spiritual cult.” “The victim detailed a series of activities that women on the site were forced, including online sex. Also, they were forced to wear dog collars, physically abused and subjected to other illicit activities, ”the police reported.

The woman was recruited through the X platform (former Twitter) by the suspect, who offered her the chance to join a “mysterious school” that connected people with nature. It is assumed that the trip took place on March 19, 2019. Upon arrival in Costa Rica, she was taken to Tinameste by Pérez Zeledón, where the couple was waiting for her. There, she was naked by the travel documents and was left under the full control of the couple.

“The victim expressed that she was forced to create sexual content for adults, where her videos were uploaded to a platform that she does not know the name, while the receipts were transferred to the accused’s accounts,” the migration authorities added. The police confirmed that the woman managed to get rid of the site and filed a complaint that led to the arrest of a man whose first name is Haag, also known as Dale Williams, and his partner, a woman whose first name is Gorman.
