Two officers were injured during a high -speed search, the police said he had endless lives. The pursuit -which reached speeds of 90 km / h at 11:00 Friday -ended when the car was followed by GMP, a stolen Ford Fiesta suspect, tried to drive the wrong A34 by the A34 bypass Cheadle, Stockport.

Inspector Danny Kabal, from the interception unit of GMP tactical vehicles (TVIU) said: “During the pursuit, there was a total disregard for the lives of the public members, while the driver tried to transform the vehicle throughout the A34 Bypass.

“After seeing this risk, specially trained officers reacted quickly and did not hesitate to endanger the public. They were able to tactically stop the vehicle before arresting the driver and passenger of the vehicle.

“Fortunately, no member of the public was injured, but without the actions with the rapid thinking of the officers, this could have ended very differently.”

The police said the tactical vehicle interception unit was in stock, following a theft on Thursday night, where a stolen car was reported. The pursuit began after the officers observed a car that matched the description of the stolen one.

In a statement, GMP said: “As the officers approached the vehicle, it dropped at high speeds and the specially trained drivers started a tracking. The vehicle reached speeds up to 90 km / h, and the pursuit ended quickly when Ford Ford tried to return the wrong way.

“As a result of a car search, the officers found mole, Balaclavas and gloves that we think would have been used to commit additional thefts in the area, along with OBD, cannabis and other registration boards.”

Inspabal added: “Once the officers saw the stolen suspect Ford Fiesta, the driver decided to leave with high speeds, in an attempt to evade the capture. Two of our officers today suffered minor wounds, which highlights the danger that the officers place on the day.”
