Gene Hackman probably died nine days before being found: Sheriff – Entertainment

Ctor Gene Hackman probably died nine days before he and his wife, Betsy Acakawa, were found dead in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, said the county sheriff.

The last signal on the part of the winning actor in Oscar, 95 years old, was from February 17, according to a pathologist, said Santa Fe county, Adan Mendoza, in a press conference. He said that the cause of death in each case has not yet been determined.

“It’s a good assumption that was his last day of life,” said reporters.

Mendoza said that 64 -year -old Hackman and Arakawa tests for carbon monoxide poisoning have proven negative. He said it was not clear who died first after the two were discovered in separated rooms on Wednesday.

The sheriff again excluded the unpleasant game.

Hackman and Arakawa called Santa Fe in the 1980s and have been active in the city art community and in the culinary scene. In recent years, he and his pianist wife have been seen less rarely in the city as his health was damaged. The couple lived a very private life before their death, Mendoza said.

The caretaker at their closed community discovered the dead couple on Wednesday, when he looked into the house through a window, according to his call to emergency services.

The deputies of the sheriff found Hackman in the kitchen. Arakawa and a dog were found in a bathroom, with pills scattered from a glass with open recipe on the bathtub.

Both Hackman and Arakawa seemed to have fallen suddenly on the floor and showed no signs of blunt force trauma.

A door was found on Ajar behind the house. Two of the couple’s survivor dogs used to move and left the house, Mendoza said.

Mendoza said he asked for a toxicology report on the bathroom pills and other medicines in the house, calling it “something of concern”.

“This is obviously a very important proof on the spot,” Mendoza told NBC News, adding that the report could take three months or more.

Among the evidence that deputies took in the house were counted thyroid and cardiac drugs, a 2025 monthly calendar, two mobile phones and Myquest health records, according to a police inventory.

Hackman, a former marine known for his voice, appeared in more than 80 films, as well as on television and on stage during a long career that started in the early 1960s.

He won his first Oscar nomination for his role of separation by the Banking Barrow Banking brother in 1967 Bonnie and Clyde. Won an Oscar for best actor in 1972 for his portrayal by detective Popeye Doyle in French connectionand in 1993 he won an Oscar for best support actor for Unforgiving.
