The loved ones honor Michelle Gonzalez, Lincoln woman killed in the shooting of domestic violence

Lincoln, Neb. (Koln) -Michelle gonzalez, 21-year-old killed in an apparent crime-sinucide In East Lincoln last week, he was honored by friends and family on Monday.

The loved ones gathered at the house of one of her best friends, Natalie Deryke, who said Gonzalez was disinterested in everyone in her life.

“The amount of patience she had with people and only a complete loyalty,” said Deryke, “Michelle would be the type of person who will have $ 10 on her behalf, and if someone needed, she would.”

Between tears and hugs, people closest to her have commemorated a lost life too soon.

Jacqueline Gonzales and Oscar Gonzalez, Michelle’s brothers, hope that her story will raise violence in the family and help others find themselves in a similar situation.

“She was the youngest in our seven family,” Jacqueline said. “My sister was so strong, so brave. Even until her last moments. ”

Last moments happened just a few hours after Michelle had submitted a protection order Against Ibrahim Alhamadani, 28, according to Lincoln Police. In order, she wrote that Alhamadani was assaulted earlier that morning, beating it with a gun while he was in a state of intoxication.

Later that day, the authorities said that Alhamadani then hit Michelle with a car near 84 and sandalwood before being lifted by two good Samaritans. He then followed him on a neighborhood street and entered the vehicle, finally getting out of the car to shoot Michelle, LPD said. She was taken to a hospital where she died later.

Oscar said that the last time he heard from Michelle was when he submitted this protection order.

“She was there asking for help and the next thing you know, she didn’t answer her text,” he said. “I receive a phone call from the police saying it is in critical condition.”

Both brothers said they wanted to have done more or see the red flags of the relationship.

“She looked happy,” Jacqueline said. “The fact that he seemed truly happy did not make me wonder and regret so much.”

Writing messages about Balloons in Michelle’s favorite color, purple and release in heaven, friends and family want her story to be listened to by everyone.

“I think God takes his angels when he thinks they are needed,” Deryke said. “I know it is safe now and I hate this is the way it has become safe.”

Her brothers also hope that something will change, whether it is the local administration, the criminal justice system or the society in general, to stop these tragedies to happen.

“They should not reach this point where more women lose their lives, and now there is awareness,” said Oscar.

“I overcome it and kill me because I get to experience a lot without it,” Jacqueline said. “He will not make more experiences. He will not grow old with me.”

Michelle’s loved ones set up a GoFundme to help cover his funeral expenses.
