Syrian forces save deadly confrontations with Assad loyalists, reports the transmitter

Damascus-a little 13 members of the Syria Security forces were killed on Thursday in confrontations with the militants related to the eliminated regime of Bashar al-Assad, reported a Syrian broadcaster, some of the most serious violence that the government led by Islamists has been confronted since its overthrow in December.

Syria TV, which is aligned with the new Damascus administration, said that continuous confrontations in the Jableh region, part of the coastal area that forms the heart of the Alewite minority sect of which the Assad family belongs.

The coastal region appeared as one of the main security challenges for interim president Ahmed al-Sharaa, while his government works to strengthen control.

Syria’s state news agency, Sana, citing a source of the Ministry of Defense, said that “the remains of Assad’s militia” have attacked in several fields in a unified way. The reinforcements were on the way to the Jableh area to support the security forces, he said.

Earlier this week, two members of the Ministry of Defense were killed in the city of Latakia by groups identified by the state media as remains Militia Assad. Reuters
