The deadline approaching for Packers Protect and serve nominations for prizes

The deadline for March 14 is approaching for the nominations for the “Packers Protect & Serve Prize”, which recognizes the officers for applying the exemplary law that exceed and beyond the debt call in the state of Wisconsin.

Candidates should be active, full-time or part-time officers, who demonstrate leadership, dedication and commitment to improve their communities. The appointed officers should be the ones who have displayed heroism and/or presented an extraordinary commitment to public safety, community and colleagues.

Nominal nominators can select to nominate an officer or department for one of the four categories: the individual officer’s prize, the K-9 prize, the prize for school resources officers or the department award. Fifteen prizes will be presented: 12 individual prizes and one for each of the other three categories.

The Packers Protect & Serve Prize is funded by Packers and the NFL Foundation, each award beneficiary receiving a subsidy of $ 2,000 to benefit its department or a non -profit with which they are involved.
