He promised “better life” and treated at Bihar, 47 minors from Chhattisgarh Save. 5 accused arrested

In an attack, 47 children-44 girls and three boys-from Chhattisgar were rescued from the Rohtas district of Bihar following a six-hour search operation. The raids that were led by teams from eight police sections saved children from buildings in Natwar Bazar a well-known district.

According to Times of India (toi), it is suspected that children have been pushed in sexual work, and some of the girls may be pregnant. However, all victims suffer pregnancy tests and HIV tests.

The minors were lured with the promise of a better life, joining an “orchestra band” in Bihar.

A common police team and the welfare department of women and the child went to Rohtas and saved the children. The minors are natives from Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Janjgir Champa, Mangi, Baloda Bazar and Bilaspur.

According to all, a police official said that Rohtas Police, with Bachpan Bachao Andolan, made a common attack in a location where a group of orchestra and dance – who performs obscene dances – works. As the rescue has no Aadhaar card or any details about birth, the police continued to treat them as minors for now. They were taken to the Child Assistance Committee and were advised to clearly register their statement.

Five were arrested for crime

The children said they were taken with their parents’ permission and that they were still in touch with them. The police arrested five suspects who urged their parents to send their children to another state, transported them and put them in the “orchestra group”. Three of the accused are residents from Chhattisgarh.

According to Indian Express, they were arrested in various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (NBS), the law on child protection against sexual crimes, the law on justice for minors (prevention), said the superintendent Rohtas of Police (SP) Raushan Kumar.

The Kapu region and the Jashpur district are famous for human trafficking and are considered to be hubs for collecting minor girls and women or to be lured for jobs in the “subway cities” where victims will be transported illegally. Usually, girls are pushed in sexual work, forced marriages, workforce or join orchestra groups.
