New Delhi, 10 Mar (PTI) a man was arrested for consuming and executing a residence of his employer in New Friends Colony here, Delhi said.

They said that stolen objects, including luxury hand watches, diamond and gold jewelry and 13,500 RS the accused were recovered.

He informed the police that between February 26 and March 3, while his family was outside the city, an unidentified man entered their house and stole valuables, said Deputy Police Commissioner (South -East) Ravi Kumar Singh.

The officer said a police team examined the CCTV materials and interrogated 22 members of the internal personnel employed at the Gupta residence.

The team also analyzed the call detail records (CDR) and performed a medical -legal examination of the crime scene, where they found that a screwdriver was used to enter the digital locker room, he said.

“During the investigation, the suspected team, a sumit housekeeper, who ran after the crime. The team followed him and caught him from Ambedkar Nagar on March 8, ”he added.

Teams recovered four luxury hand watches and many other items in the house. During the interrogation, Sumit (33) confessed crime, citing greed as the main reason, said the officer.

The DCP said that the accused told the police that, being familiar with his employer’s program, he knew that the house would be vacant during the given period, which makes the perfect opportunity to execute theft.
