West Auckland Raid police have results in firearms, ammo confiscation

Auckland police discovered a firearms and ammunition cache while investigating a stolen motorcycle.

The unity of interruption of the Waitmematum bands searched for a Glendian property on Wednesday and found three guns, three rifles, a firearm and modified parts and dozens of rounds of ammunition.

Metamfectamine parafernalia was also located.

Senior Detective Sergeant Mike Williams said a 51 -year -old man, who is associated with Head Hunters motorcycle band, has been charged with drug and firearms.

He had to appear at the Waitākere District Court, accused of unseen possession of a gun, illegal possession of a firearm, unlimited ammunition and possession of methammatamine utensils.

“We are incredibly satisfied with the result of the search warrant on Wednesday,” he said.

“This still represents more firearms taken from public circulation. The criminals being kept in mind.”

Search for stolen motorcycle continues.
