Two men owed in court for rape of 4 Tvet students in Limpopo

Johannesburg – two male suspects arrested in the rape of four students from a Tvet College in Limpopo are to appear on Friday at Kgapane magistrates.

The accused was arrested earlier this week, after the police recovered the stolen phones of the victims.

The police confirmed that the students have positively identified the phones.

It seems that the suspects stormed a student residence at a college in the village of Phaphadi in February. One of the suspects was armed when he forced a group of eight girls to undress.

He would have raped four of the victims.

Police spokesman, Hulani Mashaba, said he fled from the spot after stole their mobile phones.

“The suspects were arrested following a joint operation performed by the mopani tracking team and the family violence, children’s protection and sexual crimes.”

The police said they found two suspects in possession of stolen goods.
