Israeli colonists attack the village of the West Bank

Israeli colonists attacked the Palestinian village Khirbet Al-Marjam on Thursday evening in the occupied West Bank, burning three houses and a series of cars in the last series of raids that grew during the Gaza war.

The local inhabitants said that the colonists stormed through the village, pulling living ammunition and throwing tears to people trying to remove the flames.

The CCTV filming showed masked people who enter the Palestinian property, throwing objects around and destroying a security room.

“They climbed over the house and started throwing stones. Broke the door and windows. Then they burned this door and entered and set fire to the house, “said a resident, Mayoom Msalam.

The Israeli military said that the troops and police intervened to disperse a group of masked Israelis who set fire to the property.

He added that there was a previous report according to which the Palestinians tried to steal an animal flock belonging to the Israelis.

However, the governor of the city near Nablus, Ghassan Daglas rejected the suggestions that the Palestinians caused the attack.

“This is an attack aimed at expulsion of citizens from their lands by colonists, a project to move to Palestinians from their countries.

“Through this attack, the colonists tell the Palestinians, either departed or we will burn you. The situation is very difficult, the colonists are increasingly violent, ”he said.

The attacks came that Israeli ministers appealed openly to a complete annexation of the Westordan, a territory captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war, which Palestinians consider the nucleus of an independent future, together with Gaza and East Jerusalem.

The figures of the United Nations Humanitarian Agency (OCHA) indicated that there were at least 1,580 attacks on Palestinians by Israeli colonists who led to victims, material damages or both last year and another 220.
