A man is due in court following a robbery on one of the busiest commercial streets.

The victim, told to be in the 80’s, was on Soho Road in Handsworth on Thursday, March 13, when he was robbed.

West Midlands police were called, and the officers detained a 45 -year -old man.

Rafiq radius, from Hamshad Road, Birmingham, was accused of theft from another person, racially aggravated harassment, criminal damages and using threatening behavior to cause harassment.

He was going to be at the Court of Magistrates in Wolverhampton today, Friday, March 14th.

West Midlands police said: “A man was accused of several crimes after a man in the 80s was robbed.

“Yesterday I arrested a 45 -year -old man in Soho Road, Birmingham, after being alerted for a robbery.

“The rafiq ray has now been accused of theft from another person, racially aggravated harassment, criminal damage and using a threatening behavior to cause harassment.

“The The 45 -year -old was withdrawn to appear today at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court. “
