RCMP says a woman who has used the travel sharing service based on social networks, sexually assaulted by the driver

Pa Safe Rides Group has over 6,000 members and has been connected to a number of violent offenses.

On February 25, February 25 A man who offered a walk for an unknown man and woman was threatened with a weapon and plundered by his truck.

In April 2021Derek Cook received an eight -year sentence after shooting a driver in the back.

Other groups in the province include in Ronge Rides (1,600 members), Melfort Ride and Share (over 400 members) and North Battleford Ride (2,400 members) shares.

What steps can you do?

GRC presented a series of safety precautions for people to follow:

– Make sure you know and trust the person you are looking for.

– Whenever you travel, announce someone when you leave and the expected time of arrival. If you receive a walk, consider providing information on the marking, color and plate of the vehicle.

– If you negotiate a walk and something feels, you trust your instinct and find an alternative way to travel.
