Frustrated Tesco buyers are thrown new “crazy” security devices

It comes as a video has gone viral on Tiktok, showing a plastic covers that slide the client, from one side to the other, which seem to protect products.

Some of the protected items include chocolate bars and boxes such as lactate milk, Lindt and Ferrero Rocher.

The video posted on Social Media currently has over 60,000 likes and 3,000 comments.

The movement is believed to prevent shopping and theft in the supermarket, but consumers have described plastic covers as “absolutely crazy”, while others have threatened that they “will not stop shopping”.

A Tiktok user was not alone as they asked: “How does this stop?”

Another commented: “So you can slide it and get what you need, so how to stop the store elevators?”

A third asked: “I do not see how to stop someone not to pay for it.”

Someone who asked “what exactly does this have?” Continued: “BC that does not prevent people from stealing that other super markets have to follow Lidl must scan that you are kept to leave the store.”
