A special education teacher in Illinois was accused of sexual abuse after being accused of assaulting a 15 -year -old student.

Christina Fodella, 30, was arrested after a teenager and her mother visited a local police station in Downers Grove – a suburb of Chicago – to report that the child was sexually abused, according to the police.

Fodella, the boy’s tutor and football coach, are now facing accusations of abuse, said Dupge County Lawyer, Robert Berlin and the head of Downers Grove, Michael Devries, in a statement.

The police claim that the alleged abuse started in December 2023, when Forella, then 28, was alone in a high school Downers Grove South to guide the boy, then 15 years, before the school started, according to the statement.

On Friday, the boy’s mother found a text thread on her son’s mobile phone between the teenager and Fodella, said the authorities, where they detailed their alleged sexual relationship.

Fodella was arrested during a traffic stop on Sunday. She denied the alleged abuse when questioned by the police.

Fodella, who taught in the Department of Special Services of the High School since the 2020-21 school year, also trained football for boys and girls.

“The statements against the Fodella lady are extremely disturbing,” Berlin said. “The type of abuse and behavior supposed in this case will not be tolerated.”

In an E -mail message sent to parents to high school, the director of Arwen Lyp wrote, on wgntv“We are devastated, and our community revolves. An adult has been accused of the most serious violations, and trust was broken.”

Fodella has been accused of a number of aggravated sexual abuse, a number of criminal sexual assault and a number of criminal abuses and is now on administrative leave paid from school, according to the Dine County Declaration.

The teacher was released after her first appearance in court, given that she has no contact with anyone under 18 years. It also forbade the entrance to high school. It is not clear if she has kept a lawyer to speak on her behalf.

The next appearance of the court in Fodella is established for April 14, 2025.
