Siler City man facing numerous charges of crime, including trafficking in persons, rape

Siler City, a 24-year-old Siler City man, is facing numerous charges of crimes and crimes-including trafficking in persons and rape-lengthened by his relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

On January 19, 2025, the Sheriff’s office in Chatham County responded to a disturbance at 1020 Coleridge RD. Siler City. An investigation revealed that a 15-year-old woman on stage was in a relationship with Ronny Jonahibel Suarez, 24 years old, from 611 E 4, St. Siler City, and ran with him for nine days. The juvenile told investigators that he did not know Suarez’s real age and thought he was 17 years old.

Suarez was accused of incident with multiple accusations of crime, including the child-victim trafficking, sexual serving-victim of the child, crime against nature, attempted crime against nature, second-degree forced sexual crime, indecent freedoms with a child and statutory rape. In addition, he is experiencing charges of sexual battery offenses and contributing to a minor’s delinquency.

Suarez is held without bonds in the Center for Detention of Chatham County and was scheduled to appear at the Chatham County District Court on March 14, 2025.
