“I think of him every day,” Harrison said, 59 years old. “In the twenty years, he had drug problems. I mean, Lord, I put him in rehabilitation so many times and every time, he would have done great, and then he will fall back. I mean, you heard the same story from a million people and became really bad and, apparently, it was not heroin that he received.
The star Channel History acknowledged that he often wonders if he did “everything well” when it came to the decisions he made about his son’s struggles with substance abuse.
“The thing is, I mean, when you lose a child, the second riddles-everything,” he said. “Is that, could I have done that? Could I have done that? Could it have done that? Could I have done this?” And it’s like passing through your brain.
When Bensinger asked about what he specifically believes, Harrison said, “Could I have done something different?”
“I mean, I think I did everything well,” he continued. “Just sit in your head,” what’s going on if I did that? What if I did this? “Do you know what I mean?”
Bensinger assured Harrison that he “did everything” for his son, against the background of his struggle with the abuse of substances, the listing of several actions he took to try to help, including the fact that the police “put him in prison”.
In response, Harrison said Adam even once “entered” him at home.
“I thought that if we put him in prison for two months, he will clean it, but he went directly to him,” he admitted, before Bensinger asked if he has any advice for other parents who have children passing through similar fights.
“You try to give him a harsh love, but, God, you just never see OD coming,” Harrison said. “You want to give them hard love and everything, but, I never thought it would happen.”
“I don’t know. It’s hard,” he continued. “There is no instrument book with children. They are all different models.”
Harrison continued to share how he managed to browse his pain, citing the time spent with his sons and his four grandchildren.

“(You have to) appreciate what you have obtained, because it is not always that you will not have it,” he said. “I spend as much time with my children. I talk to all my children on the phone almost every day. I love my children. I love my grandchildren. You like life. I mean, I literally know boys who have 10 times more money than I do well-which are f-in-which are miserable.”
“It is easy to enjoy life. It is indeed. Just don’t be around people who are miserable and just enjoy life with family and friends and everything,” he added. “It really isn’t so hard to be happy.”
