While following the case, the officers tried to hold the suspect on foot near the 10th Avenue South and Ninth Street. The officers failed to hold the suspect of concern for the participants’ safety, and the suspect was able to reach a nearby vehicle before they could intervene.

The officers initiated a stop of traffic, but the suspect did not comply, which led to a chase that traveled south of Great Falls, then to the west, before returning to the north within the limits of the city.

Near the intersection between Overlook Drive and Upper River Road, the officers used patrol vehicles to immobilize the suspected vehicle. The efforts of the officers were successful, and the pursuit ended right from that location.

GFPD said that the suspect did not comply with the orders of the officers, while working to arrest him, and less lethal tools were used to earn the suspect’s compliance.

The suspect was evaluated by the medical professionals on the spot, and the law enforcers took the person to a hospital to ensure the fitness for incarceration.

A police officer has suffered minor injuries and receives treatment at the same hospital.

GFPD Sais that no additional information will be launched until the suspect has made an initial appearance at the Cascade County District Court.
