Three arrested in Half Moon Bay for food shopping

Half Moon Bay – three men, all in the age of 30, with previous theft charges, were arrested on Saturday morning because they would have stolen food from a Safeway in Half Moon Bay, authorities said on Sunday.

The deputies of the sheriff in San Mateo County responded to half a Moon Bay Safeway, near Main Street and North Cabrillo Highway, around 3 pm, on Saturday, in relation to two suspects, who would have purchased from the grocery store.

The suspects fled to a SUV. Shortly after, a deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that matched the description and found four people in the car, a woman and three men. The officers recovered the stolen goods and also discovered parafernal of drugs.

The woman’s driver was released, but men, including the two suspected shopping, were arrested for outstanding mandates.
