Groups protest about killing the man physically challenged in the EDO Community crisis

The network for the advancement of people with visible disabilities and the organizations of the EDO Civil Society, Edosco, on Tuesday, protested against the terrible killing of a man physically provoked in the Obazagbon community, the local administration area of ​​the EDO.

The Daily Post reports that during the protest in Benin City, the groups decreed the killing of the physically challenged man, identified as Epi Ogbeide.

Speaking, the executive director of the network for the advancement of people with visible disabilities, Barrister Omasah Melody, said the victim was deaf and could not hear when the alarm was raised by invaders.

Melody said that while others fled, the deceased fell into the hands of the alleged killers because he could not hear.

As he asked for justice for the victim, he asked the Government to make sure that the culprits are brought to the book.

“We pain. We are deeply touched because Mrs. Betty lost a dear husband. His children were made without a father.

“Ogbeide’s only crime was that he endeavored to appear for him and his family, despite his disability, so it will not be a responsibility for society. During the course he strives to put food on the table for his family, death has met him.

“The frequency of communal confrontations on land and related problems becomes far too common. Must stop. Security agents have to get up on the occasion.

“When there are crises in the community, the physically challenged more. People with disabilities are the most affected, ”he said.

Reacting, the public relations officer of the EDO State Police Command, Moses Yamu, said that three suspects were arrested on the ash in the Obazagbon community.

Yamu added that the investigation is still in progress.
