Auburn man accused of rape of 2nd degree following the investigation of sexual abuse

Cayuga County, NY (WBNG) – following an extensive investigation in accusations of sexual abuse that involves a younger than the age of 15, an Auburn man was arrested.

The New York State Police Office for Auburn criminal investigations arrested Christopher T. Quaile, 43, from Locke, NY. The quaile was accused of rape of grade 2.

The state police said the investigation into accusations of sexual abuse started on January 14, when the child protection services in Cortland County alerted the troops about the disclosures made by a victim. Investigators found that the quaile was employed in criminal sexual conduct with the victim on several occasions in July 2023.

On March 5, officials announced that they had an order to bring the quaile from the prison in Cayuga county, where it was already under arrest for separate charges. He was officially accused of rape on March 10 at Auburn State Police and was then returned to the Cayuga county prison to wait for the notification.
